Landor (Local History) Society
Aims to generate an interest in local history and spread any local knowledge in the Rugeley area. Some members are able to research or organise campaigns. Others are content to attend monthly meetings and occasional outings.
Meetings take place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from September to April.

Lichfield & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust
Principal Aims : To promote the restoration of the Wyrley and Essington Canal from Ogley Junction to Huddlesford Junction
(the “Lichfield Canal”), and the Hatherton Branch of the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal, and also the construction of a navigable link between the Hatherton Branch and the Cannock Extension Canal.

Military Historical Society (Stafford)
The Military Historical Society has existed for over 50 years to provide a forum in which those
who are interested in research into the Armed Forces of the Crowncan correspond or meet.
The MHS includes collectors of militaria ranging from badges through medals to postcards,
regimental and military historians, researchers into family history and historical links between towns
and the Army, and much more.
There are regular meetings in London and throughout branches around the country,
organised visits to sites of interest and musems.
The West Midlands Branch of the Military Historical Society was founded in 1973,
and has been active continuously since then.
Our membership includes collectors, students, and general enthusiasts.
Our interests cover all aspects of British, Imperial and Colonial military history,
from the English Civil War to the Gulf War, and from books, buttons & badges to medals, uniforms & equipment.
If you have an interest in military history, you are cordially invited to join us,
and attend our meetings, which are conducted on an informal and friendly basis.
We meet on the first Saturday afternoon of each month
